About Smile

Smile is a product of PowerProv Pty Ltd (ABN available on request). These terms govern your use of the Smile app. They're written in plain English on purpose.

Terms of Use

Smile is an app that nudges you to make eye contact and share a genuine smile with people nearby. It is not a dating app, a messaging platform, or a social network.

Be decent. That means:

Don't use the app to harass, stalk, or intimidate anyone.
Don't attempt to identify or contact someone who hasn't smiled back.
Treat every smile as the simple, human gesture it's meant to be.

Smile is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it working, but we make no guarantees about uptime, accuracy, or availability. Use it at your own risk.

We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms or the spirit of the app — which is kindness.

You must be 18 or older to use Smile.

Zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour

Smile has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. There is no exception to this.

By using Smile, you agree that you will not upload, post, or share any content — including a username or your first name and profile photo — that is abusive, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, violent, unlawful, harassing, threatening, or otherwise objectionable. You also agree not to harass, stalk, intimidate, or abuse any other user.

Profile photos are automatically screened before they appear, and content that breaches these terms is not permitted.

If you see content or behaviour that breaches these terms, report it in the app (every Smile Alert has a Report, Block, and Mute option) or contact us at smile@powerprov.com.au. We review every report and remove offending content and eject offending users within 24 hours.

We may remove content and terminate accounts that breach these terms at our sole discretion, without notice.
