PowerProv workshops deliver serious business skills using behavioural science and proven program design.

The work is fun, but it’s not about being funny.

No one is ever asked to perform or put in the spotlight. Instead, we use paired and group exercises to foster an ensemble framework.

This is the secret sauce that helps everyone we work with learn to react, adapt, and communicate so they can achieve their collective goals efficiently and effectively.

Just looking for a laugh?

If you want something fun, cheap, and cheerful without all the business and behavioural science stuff, there are many small comedy schools and impro theatres out there who can run a play day for you.

We recommend Laugh Masters Academy.

But if you’re ready to invest in improving the communication, collaboration, and camaraderie amongst your team in a meaningful manner, PowerProv is #1.

Yes, and... FAQs.

What kind of corporate training does PowerProv offer?

Every program is tailored to the specific needs and desires of your business. Prior to your workshop, we will work with you to discuss areas of focus, sensitivity and “no-go” zones, so that everyone gets what they need and feels the most comfortable. Our goal is to deliver real-world skills you can put to use in your business straight away over the course of a unique and rewarding session.

Do you have improv classes for individuals?

What if I’m not funny? Or don’t want to be?

The work is fun, but it’s not about being funny.

No one is ever asked to perform, entertain, make people laugh, or be put in the spotlight.

Instead, we use paired and group exercises to foster an ensemble framework. This is the secret sauce that helps everyone we work with learn to react, adapt, and communicate so they can achieve their collective goals efficiently and effectively.

The tools we teach will help you stay focused and stay present and learn to read non-visual communication cues with ease, get clear on what you need to say and say it without filtering, commit to a situation, be a better listener and more.

We teach serious skills using a proven program design that will give you techniques you can put to use in your work immediately.

And we do it in a fun environment where everyone feels relaxed, safe, and comfortable.

How much do PowerProv improv workshops for business cost?

The level of investment you make will be based on several factors including size of group, how many Facilitators are required, venue, length of session, and level of customisation required, if any, to achieve your specific outcomes.

For more information, you may want to look at our workshops page.

Or book a call to discuss your specific needs and budget.

How do I convince my Boss to invest in this?

Send them this.

Or have them give us a call.

What’s covered in a typical workshop?

Sessions can be tailor-made to specifically suit your group. The tools and exercises we use on the day will be selected based on things like whether an entire team comes together, versus a group of people who may work together, but hold different status levels within an organisation.

Examples of specific objectives could include things like: a desire to create an environment that further fosters creativity and innovation, working on team-building to help employees work more cohesively, or giving staff a set of tools that will help them roll with the punches and think on their feet when they’re in the field or working with challenging clients.

What is an example of a workshop agenda?

Our workshops are typically tailored to a client’s specific needs. Please get in touch and let us know what you’re hoping for so we can share an appropriate sample agenda.

Where are the workshops held?

Your call. Our Facilitators typically come to your office, but we have been known to also run Workshops at retreats, conference centres, private homes, hotels, pubs and even a Bowlo. We even ran a session on the beach once. And we’ll never do it again. (Too distracting!)

Some things to think about before you decide:

Having the workshops at your office or place of work can help anchor the learnings to that space and further foster the ensemble mindset you want everyone to have on the job.

Having the workshops off-site can also be great if you want people to get out of their heads, get free from work distractions, and have a fully focused experience.

Both are good and there is no wrong answer. Around 3/4 of our clients opt for on-site workshops if that helps inform your decision.

How long is a workshop?

We typically run three different length sessions:

  1. Six-hours, or “full day”
  2. Three to four-hours, or “half-day”
  3. One-hour “Super Sessions.”

The 3-4 hour workshop is what most people start with and it delivers great value.

How many people may attend a workshop?

We can accommodate almost any size group, however, we’ve found that a ratio of 12-18 people per Facilitator is ideal and allows for everyone to receive individual attention. The smallest group session we’ll run is for 8 people. The largest we’ve run (so far) was for 400.

How often should you do this?

For some of our clients once a year is enough.

Businesses with large graduate cohorts might have us in every quarter.

For others, a monthly tune-up is just the ticket.

And for some start-ups a series of weekly sprints makes sense.

Who are your Facilitators?

Our Facilitators have the highest pedigree and go through a rigorous in-house training program. They all bring real-world business experience and practice what they preach. They are not theatre students or comedians pretending to be business people. Business is in our DNA.

It takes more than giggles and games to foster an ensemble framework and develop an improvisational mindset.

But if you’re ready to invest in improving the communication, collaboration, and camaraderie amongst your team in a meaningful manner, PowerProv is #1.

Is this different than an improv comedy class?

Unlike classes taught by a comedy school or improv theatre where the focus is on performing and being funny, PowerProv workshops and classes are led by business leaders, founders, and people with relatable work experience.

This means we can effectively frame our unique (and fun) exercises around your specific context and desired outcomes. And you’ll be learning from real pros who practice what they teach in the real world.

If you’re on you’re own or you can’t convince your boss to book a team workshop, we do offer a 6-week improv class for individuals who want to win at work – and in life.
