How to Improve Employee Well Being.
Mental Health
If you work in Learning and Development, People in Culture, or HR, then one of the things you probably think about all the time is how you can ensure that your team members are healthy both mentally and physically, and if they have a good work-life balance. So at PowerProv, we think we have some ways of helping you deal with that.
Active listening
I think work-life balance is very important to get the structure in your day. For me, presence is really important. It affects how I handle stress. I think that was a great thing I took away from improv—being as present as I can, connecting with people, active listening. I find that helps every day with the connection I have, the way I communicate at work with any issues that arise. It’s staying as present as I can, which helps to stay calm and have that good communication.
Work-Life balance
Yeah, I think especially mental health, right? Like there are so many positive impacts of PowerProv training on your mental fitness, right? Your mental health, from more self-confidence to thinking on your feet, to leaning into your intuition and instinct, trusting your gut, trusting your teammates.
Ensemble mindset
If you think about the Ensemble mindset that we help teams create for themselves through this work, you know, imagine the team that you have now walking into work next week, trusting, believing, accepting, knowing that everyone they work with has their backs, is going to support their actions and choices and decisions, and make them look good. Suddenly, the whole vibe in your office changes. So if you’re thinking about mental health especially, you know, PowerProv training can play a really vital role in improving it.
Physically, I think, you know, our workshops and classes are physical and active. You know, we’re moving around, we’re on our feet a lot, but it’s not fitness. It’s more mental fitness than physical fitness, but it’s definitely active. So I think it’s a win-win there.
